Kathryn

My name is Kathryn Keulmann, a Licensed Social Worker, LSW. I received my Masters of Social Work (MSW) from Widener University. I have experience working in inpatient psychiatric hospitals, where I enjoyed facilitating groups with a focus on psycho-education, development of effective coping skills, and fostering peer support. I believe the most valuable component of group work is learning and growing from each other. Currently, I provide Mental Health and Cognitive Rehabilitation Therapy to individuals who have traumatic brain injuries in both one-on-one and group settings. My work with this population focuses on improving organizational skills, time management, and goal setting. In addition, we work together to develop strategies for coping with difficult emotions and practice integrating relaxation and mindfulness techniques into daily life. I have also worked as a therapist in community behavioral and community mental health settings with individuals of all ages and issues such as anxiety and depression. As a clinician, I primarily work from a CBT-informed, Strengths-Based, and Person-Centered approach. I enjoy working with clients in order to clarify and create goals, build self-esteem, develop better communication and bolster self-advocacy. I provide a nonjudgmental atmosphere and approach my work with patience and genuine empathy. I look forward to working with you!
